New Church Building

Dear Faithful of St. John Neumann Parish,

St. John Neumann is a very special parish. Young families, elders, people from

across this country, people from around the world, children, and youth: Our

greatest resource and treasure are collectively all of us who together strive to be

Christ for each other and our neighbor. We have a forty-nine-year history as a

parish in the Catholic tradition during which we have grown from worshipping

in a nearby middle school to creating one of the finest Catholic schools in the

diocese to now having grown into a diverse community of over 2000 families.

Further growth is assured as northeast Columbia continues to develop.

For six years, we have been slowly moving toward implementation of our vision

for a new church and united campus. It has been through your generosity,

sacrifices, and hard work that we have come to this point. Together, our financial giving has brought us to the point of having 70% of the funds needed to pay for the project.

As with all sacrifices made in love, many graces have resulted from the process

thus far. We have come to know each other better. Our priorities and vision

have been sharpened, and we have grown in faith and trust. Thank you for your

sacrifices! And thank God for His mercy and grace!

Now, we are poised to take the final steps to build the church, and we need to

raise the final 30% of funds necessary: 3 million dollars more. We know we can

accomplish this—we have raised more than this amount in each of our first two

campaigns.

I ask you to read and pray about the information in our brochure. After reading

it, please make your sacrifice of whatever you can do to help us reach this goal.

Together, we will reach our goal because it is now…

#4 with Fr. Sandy about
the Current Church

Fr. Sandy explains what will happen to our current church at 100 Polo Road, and to the special statues and objects that have meant so much to us over the past 50 years.

#5 with Fr. Sandy – The Baptismal Font

The baptismal font is the primary symbol of out incorporation into the Body of Christ though the Sacrament of Baptism. Our new font will be a large baptismal pool where we will bless ourselves as we enter, in the same place where our new Catholics, adults and children, will be baptized.
